Last September, my best friend, Ella, came back from Manchester. It had been about a year since our last meeting. A lot of things happened in a year, and a lot of new restaurants were opening. In 2014, a place called Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) in North Jakarta happened to be a hype for having a lot of unique concept of restaurant, bistro, and cafe. When we were planning our food hunting, I suggested to go to PIK and she was very exited. We found a cute bistro called LOCALE 24 Dinner & Bar.
Ella ordered CHICKEN STRIPS and mine was MAC & CHEESE. These two menus contained the same chicken strips. Ella's chicken strips was tasty with mayonnaise and chilly sauce. It was perfectly fried and crunchy when bitten. My bowl full of classic macaroni with cheese and 2 pieces of chicken strips. The macaroni tasted good. It wasn't salty even though it contained cheese.
Locale has a warm atmosphere. They made it look like a classic bus, the interior, the doors, the chairs, the sofas. It felt like you eat in the bus. I love the theme color they have, turquoise. The place was so good that I spent my day there for about two hours with Ella. We took a lot of pictures and talked about everything. It is suitable for hanging out with friends.
